What is Basic Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance?

A financial and family protection plan paid for by Pickens County School District, which provides a lump-sum payment, known as a death benefit, to a beneficiary upon the death of employee. AD&D coverage is included as a part of life insurance benefits and will pay out a lump-sum death benefit in the event you or a covered loved one are killed accidentally or die later as the direct result of an accident.

Plan Rules:

• Eligibility: Eligible full-time employees working 20+ hours/week

• Coverage through MetLife

• Premiums paid by Pickens County School District, at no cost to you. You will be automatically enrolled in this benefit when hired- please remember to designate your beneficiaries
